We are pleased to announce that EcoVadis has awarded Aspen Oss, our API manufacturing site in the Netherlands, with the Gold Rating for sustainability. This rating puts Aspen Oss among the top 3% manufacturers of active pharmaceutical ingredients and basic pharmaceutical preparations and within the top 5% of companies globally. This achievement is a testament to our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
EcoVadis is an independent and trusted provider of a shared sustainability platform, which assesses over 90,000 organizations and businesses using its unique corporate social responsibility rating methodology. This methodology covers 160 countries around the world and 200 categories of business. It is based on several thousands of external sources including NGOs, trade unions, international bodies, local governments, and auditing organizations.
EcoVadis performs a comparative review of eligible companies across 4 key areas — environment, labor, human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Aspen Oss scores above average across all categories compared to our industry group. The 2023 EcoVadis assessment for Aspen highlights our advanced performance with higher scores in the environment category.
